We're six weeks into the season and it seems as if Western Kentucky proves more with each week that it's the top team in Conference USA.

Middle Tennessee was the latest team to fall victim to WKU on Saturday.

Lord have mercy on winless North Texas as it prepares to host Western Kentucky on Thursday.

1. Western Kentucky (5-1, 3-0): The Hilltoppers are just toying with C-USA opponents at this point. WKU led MTSU 52-14 at THE HALF before cruising to a 58-28 win Saturday.

2. Louisiana Tech (4-2, 2-1): The Bulldogs had some trouble with UTSA in a 34-31 win, but they’re still on pace to take the C-USA West.

3. Marshall (5-1, 2-0): The Thundering Herd wasn’t all that impressive early on, but it showed up strong in a 31-10 win over Southern Miss last week.

4. Southern Miss (3-3, 1-1): The Eagles take a hit after the loss at Marshall, but they’re clearly the fourth-best team at the moment.

5. FIU (3-3, 1-1): The Panthers jump back in after a 52-12 demolition of UTEP. MTSU drops out after last week's embarrassing beat down by WKU.
