The San Antonio Spurs topped the Phoenix Suns, 93-90 Monday night to claim the NBA summer league championship in Las Vegas.
It was a historic win for the Spurs with a female coach, Becky Hammon, coaching the team to the title.
After scoring 31 points in the semifinal contest, Moss Point product Devin Booker scored 10 points and grabbed three rebounds for the Suns.
Mike James, a Lamar product, scored a game-high 32 points to lead Phoenix.
