Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze said Wednesday that he expects senior quarterback Bo Wallace to be ready to go at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against Mississippi State in Oxford
Wallace suffered an ankle injury in the 30-0 loss to Arkansas and missed significant time in the game.
"He's been limited some, but you would have to chain him down from keep him from going," Freeze said in the SEC coaches conference call. "He's looking better every day. We anticipate him being ready to go."
Wallace struggled in Saturday's loss at Arkansas, hitting 16-of-31 passes for 235 yards and two interceptions. However, his backups Devante Kincaid and Ryan Buchanan were no better when they took the field.
Buchanan was just 1-of-6 throwing the ball and Kincaid lost a fumble when the ball slipped out his hand on a pass attempt.
Wallace has completed 62.8 percent of his passes for 2,789 yards, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season.
