Vancleave RB Williams to visit Mississippi State

Vancleave running back Walter Williams is a Louisiana-Lafayette verbal commitment, but he is continuing to hear from different schools.

He recently received a letter inviting him to attend Saturday's Mississippi State in Starkville against Tennessee-Martin, and Williams plans to attend.

Williams also visited Hattiesburg on Oct. 25 for the Southern Miss-Louisiana Tech game.

"I think they kind of understand I'm solid with UL," Williams said. "Other schools are making contact, but I'm pretty firm with UL."

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Williams has been impressive this season, running 181 times for 1,340 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Williams also holds an offer from Middle Tennessee.
