PROJECTIONS: Ole Miss, MSU both have good shot at playoff bid
The weekly bowl projections are out, and Mississippi State and Ole Miss unsurprisingly factor heavily into the outlook for playoffs and major bowls.
Only Mark Schlabach of ESPN and The Sporting News see both Ole Miss and Mississippi State making into the new four-team College Football Playoff.
A look at all the projections shows that most of the experts think that No. 3 Ole Miss and No. 1 Mississippi State have about the about the same odds of making into the playoffs.
The two playoff games are the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl to be played on New Years Day. The national title game is played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Jan. 12.
