Pascagoula earned a 34-14 victory over Greene County on the road Friday night to improve to 2-1.
The Panthers decided to go with sophomore Granlund Torjusen for the majority of the snaps at quarterback Friday, but it was receiver Will Inlow who had the first scoring toss for the Panthers.
Torjusen threw backwards to Inlow, who then threw downfield to find Jaylen Smith on a 65-yard touchdown to give the Panthers a 7-0 lead with 5:45 left in the first quarter.
The next Pascagoula score came via the defense with Cameron Shoemo going 75 yards for the score to make it 14-0 with 8:26 left before the half.
Pascagoula again provided the big play on the final play of the half with Torjusen throwing a screen pass to Smith, who went 54 yards to the end zone. At halftime, Pascagoula led 21-0.
Reginald Hunter had a 7-yard run and Marquez Jackson punched it in from 2 yards out as Pascagoula led 34-0 with 1:26 left in the third.
Pascagoula travels to D'Iberville on Friday.
