Resurrection cruised to a 55-0 road victory over Enterprise-Lincoln Friday night.
The Eagles (1-0) scored five first-quarter touchdowns, leaving little doubt of the outcome.
Coaches agreed to allow the clock to run in the second half.
Larry Sisson threw touchdowns of approximately 20 yards to Troy Cobb, Darius Kennedy and Christian Miller in the first quarter.
Sisson also had a 47-yard touchdown run and Patrick Watts ran for an 18-yard score to cap the first-quarter scoring.
From that point on, Resurrection went to its bench the rest of the way.
“Not only did we score quick, but the defense was very aggressive,” Resurrection coach Scott Sisson said. “I think we gave up one first down the whole game.”
