Gulfcoast Yacht & Boat Show will be held in April

The Gulfcoast Yacht & Boat show will be held on two different weekends next month.

The event will be held April 8-10 and April 15-17 at the Gulfport Harbor. hours for the show: April 8-9 and April 15-16: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; April 10 and April 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Single-day admission is $12, one weekend admission, $20 and two-day admission $25. Kids 16 and under get in free.

Called the largest boat show on the Gulf, the event is a one stop shopping center for the boating season. Over 700 vessels from 10' to over 100' in length are on display both on land and the water at one location. The vessels represent the best in Power, Sail, and Paddle Craft from the marine industry.

Over 100 accessory vendors ranging from large diesel and outboard engines to electronics, art, apparel, docks, and gadgets will also be on display.

The Yacht and Boat show will have two fishing events: the World's Richest Cobia Tournament and King of the Bulls-Bull Shark Tournament. The angler who catches the biggest Bull shark and biggest fish will be awarded a payout of $15,000.

The World's Richest Cobia Tournament will be held on April 9. Registration will continue up until 8 p m, on April 8. Entry fee is $395. The Captains/Anglers' meeting will be held on April 7 at the Island View Casino Showroom. All fish must be weighed in on the day they are caught. Tournament hours and dates are from 6 a.m. until the Weigh-in line closes at 7 p.m. on April 9 at the Gulfport Harbor. The awards presentation will follow the weigh-in around 7:15 p.m. at the Gulfcoast Yacht and Boat Show between Docks 1 and 2.

The King of the Bulls-Bull Shark Tournament will be held on April 16. Registration will continue up until 8 p m, on April 8. Entry fee is $395. The Captains/Anglers' meeting will be held on April 14 at the Island View Casino Showroom. All sharks must be weighed in on the day they are caught. Tournament hours and dates are from 12:01 a.m. until the Weigh-in line closes at 7 p.m. on April 16 at the Gulfport Harbor. The awards presentation will follow the weigh-in around 7:15 p.m. at the Gulfcoast Yacht and Boat Show between Docks 1 and 2.
