Biloxi Boat Show returns Friday
The Biloxi Boat & RV Show takes place this weekend at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The three-day show begins Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 daily. Kids 12-and-under get in free with purchase of an adult ticket.
The 2016 model of boats, motors, yachts, personal watercraft, RVs, campers and marine and RV accessories will be on display. The Fetch and Fish Tub and dog show, Fishing seminars, mammal experience, and Dauphin Island Sea Lab hands-on marine exhibit will also be showcased in the event hosted by Gulf Coast Shows.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources will have a show each day on educational information and resources regarding marine safety and artificial reef programs. The Gulf Coast Research Lab will have a Interactive kids activities with artifacts and trawl demonstrations - chance to win a summer camp session.
Melissa Miller of Gulf Coast Shows says 15 boat dealers will be at the show with four different lines.
"It'll be a good variety of boats at the show," Miller said.
Miller also expects a huge crowd. "Crowds at boat shows around the country have been going up," Miller said. "If that trend holds up, we're expecting crowds between 10,000 and 12,000 to come to the show over the course of the weekend."
