Ocean Springs man sets state spotfin hogfish record

Using conventional tackle, Harold Charlton, III of Ocean Springs broke the state record for the spotfin hogfish with a fish that weighed 15.2 ounces. The previous record set Oct. 9, 2013 was 12.64 ounces.

The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources certified the state fishing record during its Tuesday meeting.
