Biloxi fisherman sets new oyster toadfish record
The Commission on Marine Resources certified a new state record for oyster toadfish on Tuesday.
Sherman Roberts of Biloxi caught reeled in the 3-pound, 2-ounce fish using conventional tackle while fishing south of Horn Island in July.
Roberts’ catch surpassed the previous record of 2 pounds, 4.48 ounces, which was set in August 2016.
