The New Orleans Saints lived on the edge again on Sunday, but they showed a sixth sense when the game was on the line.
Garrett Hartley, who missed an extra-point try earlier in the game, delivered a 38-yard field goal with 4:42 left, and the Saints held on for a 26-23 victory on Sunday in the Georgia Dome.
The Saints remained unbeaten in 13 games. The Falcons, their hated NFC South rival, dropped to 6-7 with the loss and they are all but eliminated from playoff contention.
The Saints will play host to the Dallas Cowboys (8-4) on Saturday night in the Louisiana Superdome.
