New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have released their 2020 schedule. It is an absolute doozy.

The good news for New Orleans Saints fans is that the team’s 2020 schedule is loaded with some very compelling matchups.

The bad news is that it appears to be one of the toughest possible slates the NFL could have handed Drew Brees and company.

The league released schedules for all 32 teams Thursday night and it was revealed that the Saints will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their new quarterback, New England Patriots legend Tom Brady, in Week 1 on Sept. 13.

In Week 2, the Saints will become the first opponent to face the Las Vegas Raiders in their new facility, Allegiant Stadium, on Sept. 21.

It doesn’t get any easier in Week 3 as the Saints host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

The NFC South slate won’t start until Oct. 25 when the Carolina Panthers and their new coach, Matt Rhule, enter the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for a noon kickoff.

In possibly the biggest non-division game of the season, the Saints will host the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on Nov. 15.

And apparently just for kicks, the NFL is sending the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to New Orleans for the Dec. 20 game.

The next week, the Saints will get a rematch with the team that has knocked them out of the postseason in two of the last three years when the Minnesota Vikings travel to New Orleans for a rare Christmas game.
