Saints owner Tom Benson hospitalized with flu symptoms

Tom Benson, the owner of the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans, was recently admitted to Ochsner Medical Center with flu symptoms, according to a statement from Greg Bensel, the organization’s senior vice president of communications.

Benson, 90, has been admitted to the intensive care unit and is resting comfortably, according to the statement.

“Mrs. Benson requests and sincerely appreciates your thoughts and prayers,” Bensel wrote in the statement.
