It was a game the New Orleans Saints were supposed to win, but they didn’t.

The reigning Super Bowl champion Saints went to Seattle to face the 7-9 Seahawks in the first round of the 2010 NFC playoffs. The Saints were down 34-30 with about four minutes left in the game.

And then the run happened. A run that was so iconic that it was dubbed the “Beast Quake.”

On second down, Marshawn Lynch got a handoff and ran the ball 67 yards down the field for a touchdown, bobbing and weaving and shaking off Saints defenders along the way. The Seahawks won the game 41-36 and knocked the Saints out of the playoffs.

On Tuesday, a video surfaced of Lynch discussing the run that was edited over the viral “Animal Planet” video of a lizard running from several snakes. The video was reminiscent of an earlier nature video narrated by rapper Snoop Dog.
