Are you still thinking of going to the Super Bowl? Here’s what it will cost you
If attending the Super Bowl is on your bucket list, this could still be your year.
With kickoff less than a tank of gas away, a quick jaunt to New Orleans is doable. But, what will it cost you to fulfill your dream experience at the last possible moment? Here’s how it will break down.
Are Super Bowl tickets still available?
As of Friday at noon, 4% of Super Bowl tickets were still available from online resellers, according to Vivid Seats. With about 74,000 seats, that amounts to just over 2,900 tickets.
Surprisingly enough, now is a fine time to take the plunge and purchase tickets. Forbes reported ticket prices have dropped more than 58% in the last week.
What will a ticket cost?
On Vivid Seats, available tickets included several nosebleed (in other words, terrace level) seats starting at $2,582. You can find as many as five plaza level tickets together for a mere $11,466 to $12,783 each.
If you don’t mind going alone, there is still one seat available in a loge-level suite for $360,524. Keep in mind the built-in savings of the six-figure seat. It comes with food, drinks, comfortable seats and the possibility of bumping into a celebrity or two. For diehard Swifties, a Taylor Swift sighting is basically priceless, right?
Gametime’s cheapest ticket at the terrace level seats was $2,565 Friday afternoon.
Stub Hub had plenty of seats for two together in the $2,600 range. The site’s best deal appeared to be 50-yard-line tickets in row 32 of section 114 behind the Chiefs for $7,635 each.
Super Bowl Touchdown Club
On Location Experience is a company that specializes in bucket-list level experiences. Through On Locaton, you can still get Touchdown Club packages that include tickets to the game, a pregame party at the Smoothie King Center, tailgate food and drinks, guest appearances from retired NFL players, live music from Ludacris and The Revivalists, charging stations and restrooms.
The package allows you to choose your seat. For $4,250, the package comes with a terrace-level ticket. 100-level seat packages start at $6,250.
What will parking cost?
While the Caesars Superdome has seven parking garages, reserved parking was not available Friday afternoon. Pricing starts at $18, but varies based on the event and how close the garage is to the stadium. Contact the parking office at 504-587-3805 for information.
Nearby parking is still available, but reserving or paying ahead is recommended.
Premium Parking has several lots in the area. At most of them, $75 will get you 10 hours of parking.
The cheapest parking still available on BestParking.com was $50 on Howard Ave., a half a mile away from the superdome.
