Watch Johnny Football lose his balance, narrowly avoid cliff-diving catastrophe
Johnny Manziel’s football career was full of hits and misses.
A recent attempt at cliff diving was a definite miss.
The former Texas A&M and NFL quarterback posted a video of him avoiding a cliff-diving catastrophe at Lake Pleasant Regional Park in Arizona, according to Bleacher Report.
It appears that Manziel, when attempting to do a back-flip off the cliff into the water below, lost his balance with his back to the water and awkwardly fell off the cliff.
Thankfully, the former Heisman winner avoided hitting the rocks and was uninjured.
Manziel was a huge hit at Texas A&M, leading the Aggies to a 10-2 record as a redshirt freshman in 2012, the same year he won the Heisman Trophy.
But he was mostly a miss in the NFL, after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Manziel played in 14 games for the Browns in 2014 and 2015, throwing for seven touchdowns and seven interceptions in a turbulent career. He has attempted to revive his football career, including with the CFL, with little to no avail.
