Try being the New York Knicks, whose season is going so bad that a kid ran onto the Smoothie King Center floor Monday night to give all-star forward Carmelo Anthony a hug… during the game.
The Pelicans led the Knicks 92-85 with 51.2 seconds left when the incident occurred.

“It was a little kid,” Anthony said. “I was shocked. I didn’t really know who was it until I actually looked over and saw it was a kid.”
Anthony hugged him back, before the referee quickly sent the young fan back to the stands.
“It was a moment for him,” said Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry. “You’ve gotta be careful though. He could slip and fall and hurt himself.”
Anthony finished with 22 points, six assists and five rebounds.. and one hug.
