The Biloxi Shuckers have announced the pregame schedule for their Saturday exhibition against the Milwaukee Brewers, marking the first time a Major League Baseball team has played on the Coast since the 1938 Philadelphia Phillies held spring training in Biloxi.
The meeting between Double-A team and parent club is set for a 1:10 p.m. first pitch at MGM Park. Gates open at 11 a.m.
Select Brewers players will sign autographs from 11:05-11:30 a.m. The Brewers will then take batting practice on the field until 12:10 p.m. The Shuckers' BP will coincide with the Brewers' autograph session.
The Brewers are led by second-year manager Craig Counsell, who posted a 61-76 record in his managing debut in 2015. The unquestioned leader of Milwaukee is Ryan Braun. The 2007 National League Rookie of the Year and 2011 NL MVP is always a threat to hit one out and leads the franchise with 255 career homers.
