"This is a great opportunity for our kids to see baseball at the highest level - against Double-A professional players," Johnson said in a press release. "(Playing at MGM Park) will be the first time many of our kids have had a chance to play on a pro field, and they are excited about the challenge. It's just a great opportunity for our program."
This will be the second of three contests for Jackson State at the home of the Shuckers this season, as the Tigers will face Southern University on March 1 and take on Alcorn State on April 15 at MGM Park.
