The Shuckers fell in their series finale at Mobile on Thursday, 4-2.
In what turned out to be a back-and-forth game, the home BayBears (58-50) ended up plating two runs in the eighth that ended up being the difference.
Biloxi starter Hobbs Johnson fell to 7-5 on the year after allowing one run on three hits and three walks in four innings. He also struck out six. In relief, Martin Viramontes, Manny Barreda and Jed Bradley allowed one run while striking out two batters apiece.
The BayBears' John Omahen remained undefeated, allowing one run over six innings to improve to 6-0 on the year.
The Shuckers combined for just seven hits, including doubles by Taylor Green and Josh Fellhauer. Both Fellhauer and Nathan Orf had two hits each.
The Shuckers' runs came on RBIs from Victor Roache and Adam Weisenburger.
Garrett Weber, Gabriel Guerrero and Evan Marzilli each had doubles for the BayBears. Jack Reinheimer hit the game's only triple.
Biloxi returns home Friday to open a 10-game homestand against Mississippi and Pensacola. First pitch at MGM Park is set for 7:10 p.m.
