A pair of Biloxi Shuckers swept the Southern League weekly honors on Monday after the team clinched the South Division first half title on Sunday with a 9-0 victory over the Mississippi Braves.
Right-hander Brooks Hall has been named the Pitcher of the Week and center fielder Tyrone Taylor has been named the league's Player of the Week.
Hall went 2-0 last week, including the win Sunday in Pearl when he held the M-Braves scoreless in eight innings. He held Mississippi to just two hits and struck out five, walking one.
On June 8 in a 2-1 win over Mobile, Hall threw threw seven innings to pick up the victory. He gave up one earned run on three hits in the game.

After struggling at times early in the season, Taylor broke through with a big week for the Shuckers.
He batted .423 during the week, had eight runs scored, 11 hits and had six extra-base hits. He also hit his first two home runs of the season and knocked in eight runs.
Hall is 7-3 with a 3.05 ERA in 12 starts this season.
Taylor is batting .277 with two homers and 27 RBIs this season.
The Shuckers play at Pearl at 7 p.m. tonight and host the Montgomery Braves at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday to start a five-game home stand.
