The Biloxi Shuckers have placed the most players on this season's Southern League South Division All-Star Team thanks to a 36-22 record and a first-place standing.
Eight Shuckers total are on the team, which was announced by the by the Southern League on Wednesday.
The Southern League All-Star Game will take place June 23 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala.
Shortstop Orlando Arcia and starting pitcher Tyler Wagner lead the group with both players putting together outstanding first halves.
Joining Arcia on the team as position players are first baseman Nick Ramirez, outfielder Michael Reed and outfielder Kyle Wren.
Wagner and left-hander Hobbs Johnson are the two starting pitchers from Biloxi on the squad.
A pair of Biloxi right-handed relief pitchers made the team: Jaye Chapman and Damien Magnifico.
Arcia is batting .322 this season with four homers and 29 RBIs for the Shuckers, who finish a five-game home series with the Mobile BayBears at 7:10 p.m. today.
Ramirez leads Biloxi in homers and RBIs with eight and 35. Reed is tied with Arcia for the team lead in batting average at .322 and has five homers and 31 RBIs.
Wren has picked up his play of late and is batting .292 with 20 stolen bases.
Wagner, who made his Major League debut with the Milwaukee Brewers on May 31, is 5-1 with a 1.93 ERA in 10 starts with the Shuckers.
Johnson is 3-3 with a 3.47 ERA in 11 starts.
Chapman, who is currently at Triple-A Colorado Springs, is 4-2 with a 0.82 ERA with two saves with the Shuckers.
Magnifico has six saves in 19 appearances and a 1.42 ERA.
