Biloxi Shuckers

Shuckers logo in final 4 of best in minor league baseball

And then there were four.

The Biloxi Shuckers' logo has made it into the semifinals of the 2015 Logomania at BaseballAmerica.com, a contest that allows fans to vote on the nation's top minor league baseball logos.

Biloxi's image of an open oyster with angry eyes peering out under “Shuckers” has become a favorite among the voters.

Each of the entries were put into one of four brackets: Creatures, Traditional, Abstract and Oddities.

Unsurprisingly, Shuckers fell under the Oddities label.

On its way to the final four, the Shuckers have beaten out the El Paso Chihuahuas and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

To vote in the contest, go to BaseballAmerica.com.

The Shuckers name drew some criticism when it was first announced in November, but it seems like most are warming up to the new brand.

The Shuckers are set to play their first home game at MGM Park in Biloxi on June 6.
