Biloxi Shuckers director of media and broadcasting Chris Harris will be the guest speaker Friday at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum in Biloxi.

Harris will discuss his career at the Our Love Affair with Baseball series and luncheon at noon.

In 2013, Harris was named the Southern League Broadcaster of the Year when he was the voice of the Jackson Generals. He was the Generals’ play-by-play announcer from 2009 to 2014 and left the Tennessee minor league franchise for Biloxi in 2015 after the Huntsville Stars moved from Alabama to become the Shuckers.

In their first season in Biloxi last year, the Shuckers reached the Southern League championship series. The Shuckers finished the 2016 season with a 72-67 record and missed the postseason by a ½ game in the second half after missing out in the first half by 1½ games.

Shuckers games are broadcast on WGCM AM-1240, WPMO AM-1580 and 100.9 FM.

The $10 luncheon includes admission to the multimedia exhibit.
