Registration starts Tuesday for Barry Lyons Baseball Fall Wooden Bat League

Registration and tryout for the Barry Lyons Baseball Fall Wooden Bat League starts at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Biloxi Sports Complex Tuesday. Players are encouraged to arrive at 5 p.m. to register.

The team will receive workout and team assignments at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 6.

The league is for players grades nine through 12 . The fee is $250.

League games will be played from Sept. 13 to Oct. 20. Games will be played pn Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Two showcase games will be played at MGM Park on Oct. 27.

The showcase consists of 12 games and four teams of 48 players.

Lyons, a former Major League Baseball catcher, has run the developmental and instructional league for the past decade on the Coast.
