The East Central football team put up more huge numbers on offense in a 55-25 win at Greene County Friday night.
Five different Hornets combined to carry the ball 68 times for 605 yards and eight touchdowns in Leakesville.
Junior running back Tony Brown was the man with the most gaudy stats for the Hornets, carrying the ball 36 times for 354 yards and four touchdowns.
“He had a huge night for us,” Smith said. “Our offensive line was great. We think they're really, really special.”

Jessie Bradley also had success running the ball for the Hornets with 18 rushes for 153 yards and three touchdowns.
The only other player to get in the end zone for East Central was junior quarterback Rylee Brown, who had a short touchdown run.
Friday's win helped East Central get past a heart-breaking 33-28 loss to Stone on Aug. 26.
“I think we kicked ourselves in the foot,” Smith said of the loss to Stone. “We fumbled on their 1, muffed a punt and had a pick-six. The goal going into this game was to cut back on turnovers and we had no turnovers.”
East Central (2-1) will travel to Quitman on Sept. 9.
