Seth Orgeron kicked off the 2016 season in a big way Thursday night. Pearl River Central’s only returning starter on defense made sure coach Larry Dolan’s return to Forrest County AHS had a happy ending. The senior scored the game’s first touchdown on a 48-yard scoop’n’score. And then, with FCAHS gaining momentum for a potential go-ahead score late, Orgeron secured the 34-29 victory with an interception in the final minutes.

“He is an intelligent kid and has a lot of experience out there,” said Dolan, whose name adorns the Aggies’ fieldhouse. “He’s just a solid leader for us. It doesn’t always work out that way, but to see your leader have success like that, it was a good way to start the year off.

As a junior, Orgeron recorded 45 tackles.
