Report: Biloxi’s Isaiah Canaan signs with Chicago Bulls
According to multiple reports, former Biloxi High sharp shooter Isaiah Canaan has signed with the Chicago Bulls.
USA Today’s Jeff Zillgitt reported the agreement is $2.2 million for two years.
The former Indian just completed his third NBA season after being drafted out of Murray State in the second round of the 2013 draft.
After spending the 2013-14 season with the Houston Rockets, Canaan was dealt 25 games into the following season to Philadelphia. Although the 76ers struggled through a 10-win season this year, Canaan had his best professional season. In 77 games, Canaan averaged 11 points per game with 1.8 assists. He also converted 36 percent of his shots.
It will be interesting to see what kind of playing time Canaan gets in Chicago. The Bulls recently traded Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks and signed both Rajon Rondo and Dwayne Wade.
