The 2016 Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Softball Team has a wide range of talents from border to border. Some of the standouts are among the top aces in the state, while others are a threat to go yard any time they step to the plate. Yet others, once on the base paths, are as dangerous as they come.
St. Martin's Katelyn Gruich was one of the more dangerous hitters on the Coast, landing the honor of 2016 Sun Herald Softball Player of the Year. Having built a dynasty at Harrison Central, Jimmy Parker is the 2016 Sun Herald Softball Coach of the Year.
The Red Rebelettes have won the last three Class 6A State softball titles.
Gruich will be playing at South Alabama next year.
