One of the highlights of the summer months is the annual South Mississippi All-Star Classic, which annually brings some of the Coast's top baseball talent together for a seniors game and a futures competition.
West Harrison coach David Marsland, who doubles as the event's coordinator, recently released the rosters for the two games.
The futures game is set for 6 p.m. May 28. The seniors game will be 2 p.m. May 29. Both games will be held at WHHS.
Both games are broken into an East vs. West format.
The East seniors team is comprised of Tate Pepper, Brad Wall, Taylor Reeves and James Noblin from Ocean Springs, St. Martin's Chance Groue, Gautier's Aaron Thomas, Kyle Whittington, Conner Dunlap and Bryson Soloman of George County, Andrew Bird, Luther Woullard and Travis Bender of D'Iberville, Austin Moen and Nick Brewer of Vancleave, Pascagoula's Griffin Sublett, Travis Marion of Moss Point and Will Garriga and Jacob Vick of East Central. Ricky Smith and Ryan Lott of Ocean Springs will coach the East seniors.
Representing the West seniors will be Colby Cagle, Cylan Cagle and Tyler VanNorman of West Harrison, Stone's Tristan Parker, Bay High's Tristan Hopgood and Dustin Davis, Tyler Allen and Josh Borzik of Long Beach, Hancock's Brindon Hoda, Pearl River Central's Jeshua Lee and Wes Mitchell, Gulfport's Kevin Carter and Travis McNett, Harrison Central's Ian Colon and Mason Saucier, Pass Christian's Justin Dixon and St. Stanislaus' Ryan Pitalo and Luke Bradley. B.J. Corr (Bay) and Erich Hoffer (SSC) will coach the West seniors.
The East futures team consists of Nathan Yennie, Ocean Gehrmann and Cameron Hill of D'Iberville, Isaac Williams of St. Martin, Ocean Springs' Cooper Brune and Britt McKay, Vancleave's Trevor Davis and Hayden Robb, Pascagoula's Matt Inlow and Alden Davis, East Central's Colin Danley and Reis Trager, Biloxi's Nick Tiblier, Trey Shaffer, Tucker Thomas and Austin Williams, and Moss Point's Darren Alford and LaNas Torrey. Biloxi's Eddie Lofton, Brent Martin, Andrew Gunn and Jeremy Cothran will coach the East futures.
Making up the West futures team will be St. Patrick's Josh Wood, Gulfport's Castor Lee and C.J. Keckler, Pass Christian's V.J. Swanier and Chris Piernas, Harrison Central's Logan Vergillio and Jordan Harris, Long Beach's Clayton Maxwell and Justin Lockey, St. Stanislaus' Magruder O'Bannon, Brendan Logan and Levi Knight, Stone's Mason Hunt and Preston Stringer, Pearl River Central's Cade Lee, Picayune's Trenton Lee, West Harrison's Brandon Parker and Bay's Gage Kiser. Picayune's Drew Eslinger and Evan Nichelson will coach the West futures.
