FCA's Williams to speak at Pascagoula HOF banquet

Mitchell Williams of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will serve as the keynote speaker for the Pascagoula Athletic Foundation's Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony on June 18.

Williams, who worked 27 years in sports broadcasting before joining FCA, is the Southeast Mississippi FCA Multi-Area Director. He also serves as the Southern Miss campus director.

Williams lettered in cross-country, indoor and outdoor track at USM. He was enshrined into the USM Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.

This year's hall of fame class includes these Pascagoula and Carver High School legends: Kez McCorvey, Sarah Bailey Thomas, Treg Thomas, Richard Harvey, Barry Barganier, Johnny Olsen, Norris Thomas, Steve Bowman, Donnie Davis, James Marsalis, Mike Noblitt, Johnny Woitt, Clyde Bosarge, Edward King and Earneice Price Sylvester.

The event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pascagoula. Tickets can be purchased for $50 and may be purchased at War Memorial Stadium ticket office or by mailing a check to PAF P.O. Box 272, Pascagoula MS.
