St. Patrick's athletics department has a new leader.
The Catholic school announced on its website Tuesday the approval of Anthony Gruich as vice principal and athletics director.
He replaces Robin Jeffries, who served as AD and girl's basketball coach before heading up Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's athletics program.
A Biloxi native, Gruich has worked as an educator on the Coast for 28 years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and central office administrator. Most recently, Gruich was the principal at Vancleave High School.

"I am very excited to become part of the St. Patrick family and the excellent educational opportunities they provide those seeking a faith-based education," Gruich said in the release. "The opportunity to work with Mr. (Matt) Buckley and the excellent staff at St. Patrick is something that is simply too good to pass up."
"We look forward to welcoming Mr. Gruich to the team at St. Patrick," Buckley said in the release. "I believe his experience in educational leadership, focus on developing spiritual growth, and background and interest in business and marketing will make him a great fit for our school."
Buckley is expected to join St. Patrick's staff this summer.
