Brendan Hardy scattered five hits as Harrison Central beat Biloxi 3-2 on Saturday, completing a sweep over the Indians. Tramone McNeal had two hits and an RBI. Cody Palmer and Steven Pico each had an RBI for the Red Rebels (12-8, 6-4 Region 8-6A).
West Harrison 4, Long Beach 3: The Hurricanes capture the Region 8-5A title, winning Saturday in eight innings. Kasey Donaldson got the win, striking out six. Tate Parker had two hits, Donaldson had two RBIs,Taylor Woodcock's sacrifice fly was winning RBI.
George County 3, D'Iberville 2: The Rebels earned the Region 7-6A title. Winning pitcher was Kyle Whittington (3-0). Whittington allowed only two hits while striking out seven. Andrew Bird (5-2) took the hardluck loss while giving up three unearned runs.
George County was led offensively by Logan Tanner and Bryce Scott with two hits each. D'Iberville was led at the plate by Ocean Gehrmann with two hits and Travis Bender with a double. Walker Robbins threw a no-hitter Friday night.
George County (13-6, 8-2) will have a bye for the Play-In Round of the playoffs, while D'Iberville (11-9, 7-3) hosts Petal on Friday.
Ocean Springs sweeps: Blake Sears got the win for the Greyhounds, who beat Vancleave 2-0. Tate Pepper and Drew Windham each had two hits. Sears' RBI single in the seventh lifted the Greyhounds (18-7) past St. Paul 2-1. Garrett Crochet got the win. Pepper had two RBI.
St. Stanislaus 11, Bay High 3: Ryan Pitalo had four hits, Brendan Logan added three for the Rockachaws (13-7, 6-3 Region 8-4A) on Friday. Magruder O'Bannon had two hits. Luke Bradley got the win struck out 11 for the Rochachaws.
Pascagoula 13, West Harrison 6: The Panthers (10-13) stunned West Harrison (19-4, 6-2) on the road Friday. Behind Alden Davis' three-run home run in the second, Pascagoula took an early 5-0 lead. When the Hurricanes answered with three runs in the third behind RBIs from Tate Parker and Colby Cagle, the Panthers responded with four runs in the fourth behind Reginald Hunter and a suicide squeeze from Griffin Sublett to push their lead to 9-3.
Davis paced the Panthers going 3-for-3 with a homer, three RBIs, two walks, and four runs scored. Austin Beech and Hunter added two hits each with Hunter and Matt Inlow driving in two runs each.
Beech recorded the complete-game win. Colby Cagle had a pair of hits including a double for West Harrison.
Harrison Central 2, Biloxi 1: Jordan Harris got the win, striking out four batters as Harrison Central beat Biloxi. Harris threw a complete game for the Red Rebels (11-8, 5-4 Region 8-6A). Brendan Hardy had three hits, Christan Litz with two hits, Dillon Morgan added an RBI double.
Ocean Springs 7, St. Martin 0: Cooper Brune struck out eight for the Greyhounds (16-7, 5-5 Region 7-6A). Tate Pepper had three hits, Drew Windham added two. Britt McKay had three RBIs.
Gulfport 9, Hancock 0: Alex Nelms tossed a three-hitter and hit a grand slam as Gulfport clobbered Hancock on Friday at Herbert Wilson Complex. Nelms finished with four hits and five RBI. Kevin Carter had two hits and an RBI. B.J. Kennedy had two hits for Hancock. The Hawks host the Admirals at 7 p.m. Monday.
East Central 11, Moss Point 1: Colin Danley struck out eight for the Hornets (11-7, 7-3 Region 8-4A) on Friday. Will Garriga had three hits and three RBI. Logan Walters hit a three-run homer. Brad Cumbest had two hits.
St. Patrick 3, Perry Central 2: Trace Palazzo hit a pinch hit bases loaded walk off single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth for the Fighting Irish.
Robert Starks was the winning pitcher. Spencer Sliman had two hits.
Biloxi 3, St. Martin 2: Hailey Boney got the win. Lydia Harrington had three hits, Taylor White added two RBIs for the Lady Indians (11-6-1) on Saturday.
Poplarville 8, Purvis 0: Caylen Bell had two hits and two RBI to lead the Lady Hornets (11-3) on Friday. Jordan Billiott got the win, tossing a four-hitter.
Biloxi 9, Hancock 8: The Lady Indians forced extra innings with six runs in the seventh to clinch second place in Region 8-6A for Biloxi (10-6, 3-2). Christine Marsland tied the game with a three-run homer in the seventh.
Olivia Holley's two run double in eighth tied the game again, Taylor White's RBI single in the eighth was the game-winner. Holley got the win, improved to 9-5.
"It's the most amazing thing I ever saw," Lady Indians coach Bruce Thornton said.
East Central 4, George County 2: Ilyssa Easton had two hits and two RBI for the Lady Hornets (14-5). Taylor Lawson got the win.
St. Patrick 7, Seminary 1: Morgan Redmond struck out nine in four scoreless innings Thursday to improve to 10-0.
Raylen Blackwell had two hits and an RBI for St. Patrick (22-0). Anna Grace Castanedo had one hit and two RBIs.
East Central 9, Bay 2: Madie Sparks pitched a complete-game gem Thursday, allowing just three hits to improve to 8-1 for ECHS (13-5, 6-1).
Maranda Busby had a double and a triple. Ramee Taylor had two hits and three RBIs.
