PREP ROUNDUP: OLA sweeps doubleheader; Vancleave picks up win

Our Lady Academy swept East Marion with a pair of shutout victories Monday in Bay St. Louis, 13-0 and 12-0

Dallas Blaker combined to throw 12 shutout innings in the doubleheader. She struck out 12 in 7 innings in the first win and gave up just one hit while striking out seven in 5 innings in the second game.

Dallas Blaker had four hits, including three doubles, and knocked in four runs in the first game. Abby Koons also had four hits in the first game and her sister, Grace, had three hits and 4 RBIs. Grace Koons had a pair of RBIs while Abby Koons and Carsen Cuevas each had a pair of hits.

OLA is 3-3 and 2-0 in district play.

Vancleave 4, Moss Point 3: The Vancleave softball team topped Moss Point 4-3 Monday with Gracie Barnett pitching all seven innings for the Lady Bulldogs (3-5).

Baseball score: Hattiesburg 8, Pearl River Central 6.
