“We'd all like to win every game” Pavlus said. “What ever happened to us happened us for a reason. We've won five of six with our only loss being to Provine and they were bigger and stronger with us. We got beat on the boards and that doesn't happen to us often. We responded to that.”
While St. Julian led the way in scoring, Jalen Lett also had an impressive stat line Friday night.
Lett finished with seven points, 13 rebounds, five assists and six steals.
St. Martin led 39-31 after three quarters, but West Harrison managed to tie the game at 42-42 on a 3-pointer by Gabriel Barber with 4:12 remaining.
St. Martin's Jonte Moultrie answered with his own 3-pointer and he went on to score eight points in the fourth quarter to help close out the game for the Yellow Jackets.
“If you look at his stats, he doesn't score a lot points, but he always seems to hit a big shot,” Pavlus said.
Barber led West Harrison with 17 points. DeAnthony Bowie added 14 and Quieran Gray added 11 for the Hurricanes.
