GULFPORT-- Biscuit Floyd dished off a pass to Nehemiah Espey for a basket that snapped a 53-53 tie with 2:03 left, and Harrison Central went on to knock off archrival Gulfport 64-55 Friday night at Bert
The Red Rebels (12-12, 3-2 Region 8-6A) trailed 44-37 to open the fourth quarter, but outscored the Admirals 27-11 in the final period.
Gulfport (15-8, 2-2) led 53-51 with 2:42 left. But Floyd, who played at Gulfport last season, tied the game with 2:27 left. Then he had back-to-back dishes to Espey as the Red Rebels dominated the last two minutes. "We were just trying to get the 'W','' Floyd said. "We just have to trust each other. It started with our trust. Once we got that connection, we had it. That's where the trust comes in. Knowing that my teammates are going to catch it and finish it at the same time. This is a great win but we have to keep moving on. We have to use this as momentum.''

Floyd finished with a game-high 24 points. Dayquon Perkins and Espey each had 14 points.
Keevon Oney and Carl Terrell led Gulfport with 13 points apiece.
"I told them at halftime we had to come out and win the third quarter, and we'd have a good chance to win the game,'' Harrison Central coach Boo Hardy said. "We didn't win the third quarter but we turned it on in the fourth quarter.
"(Floyd) made some good plays to Nehemiah. I think they were trying to double-team him. We told Nehemiah to slide in. And he finished some big plays.''
Gulfport coach Owen Miller was disappointed with how his players finished.
"We missed free throws and we had 18 turnovers,'' Miller said. "It looked like we crumbled the last two minutes of the game. In hard games when you don't step up to the challenge, these things happen. And then it snowballs on you. I think we were up 9 and they finished on an 11-2 run.''
Gulfport led 31-26 at halftime. There were only three ties in the whole game and five lead changes in the fourth quarter.
Harrison Central girls 53, Gulfport 47, OT: Arie'Anna Norwood scored six of her 11 points in overtime as the Red Rebelettes (16-8, 5-0) won a key Region 8-6A game. Gulfport's Madisyn Collier hit a trey to tie the game at 45-all and force the extra four minutes. Amyjah Hardnett led Gulfport (15-9, 2-2) with 17 points. Chyna Allen had 13 for the Red Rebelettes. Adyn Strickland added 12 and Norwood 11.
