Prep Roundup: Gulfport edges Murphy at Lady Admiral Classic

Aarmanii McDaniel scored 21 points as Gulfport beat Murphy 41-40 in the Lady Admiral Classic on Saturday at Bert Jenkins Gymnasium. The Lady Admirals improved to 13-8.

South Pike 54, Harrison Central girls 49: Chyna Allen scored 16 points in the loss for Harrison Central at the Lady Admirals Classic. Teara LeShore added 11 and De'Asia McInnis had 10.

D'Iberville 69, George County 56: Zach Scales scored 20 points as D'Iberville beat George County. Evan Howard added 14 for the Warriors (16-3, 3-0 Region 7-6A). George County was led by LaRaymond Spivery's 30 points.

St. Martin 66, Ocean Springs 40: Stacee St. Julian had 22 points, seven assists for the Yellow Jackets (14-6, 1-2 Region 7-6A). Jalen Lett added 14 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Datren Bivens also scored 14.

Bay High 53, Vancleave 37: Conner Ladner scored 17 points to lead Bay High (11-5, 3-3 Region 8-4A). Galen Smith III added 10. Nic Brewer and Kylan Jackson each had 10 points for the Bulldogs.

Christian Collegiate Academy 44, Newton County Academy 35: The Bulldogs (6-8, 3-4 in district) were led by Codie Coffman-Hayes, who had 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists.


Our Lady Academy 3, South Jones 2: Paige Palazzo scored twice as the Lady Crescents prevailed on Saturday. Maggie Kowalski also scored for OLA.

St. Stanislaus 6, South Jones 0: The Rockachaws improve to 17-2-1 with a win on Saturday.

Gulfport 7, Harrison Central 1: Alexander Hopkins and Gage Switzer each scored twice at the Admirals prevailed. Travis Beck, Eli Cupp and Cain Sudduth also scored.

George County girls 4, Resurrection 3: Valerie King scored twice, Harley Johnson and Anna Smith each had goals for the Lady Rebels (11-7-1).

Vancleave 2, St. Patrick 1: Chelsea Morton and Sydney Salter each scored for the Lady Bulldogs (9-5-4).

St. Stanislaus 2, Pass Christian 0: Corbin Blanchard and Beau Rimmer each scored for the Rockachaws (16-2-1) on Friday.

Resurrection 2, George County 0: The Eagles blanked George County (6-9-4).
