Prep Roundup: George County downs Yellow Jackets

LaRaymond Spivery and Rashad Wiggins each scored 16 as George County beat St. Martin 68-56 on Tuesday.Randy Leverette scored 15 for the Rebels (9-3, 2-0 Region 7-6A). Stacee St. Julian led the Yellow Jackets (13-6, 0-2) with 19. Johnnelius Anderson and Jalen Lett each scored 12.

Bay High 41, Pass Christian 38: Conner Ladner scored 13 points as Bay beat Pass Christian. Chris Moody added 12 points for the Tigers (10-5). Aaron Whavers led PCHS (13-5) with 16 points.

D'Iberville 58, Ocean Springs 39: Zach Scales led top-ranked D'Iberville past Ocean Springs with 22 points Tuesday. Malik Hubbard scored 18 for D'Iberville (15-3, 2-0). Malcolm Magee scored 15 for D'Iberville.

Soccer

Gulfport 5, Hancock 0: Gage Switzer scored a hat trick and Jeff Bruni chipped in two goals for Gulfport on Tuesday.

George County girls 5, D'Iberville 0: Vallory King scored twice and Harley Johnson, Anna Grace Cooley and Anna Smith all scored to improve to 10-7-1 overall and 4-1 in district.

George County 3, D'Iberville 0: George Johnson scored two goals and D.J. Hodges also scored. The Rebels improved to 6-8-4 overall and 4-1 in Region 7-6A.

Biloxi girls 2, Harrison Central 1: Curissa Beatty scored both of the Lady Indians' goals Tuesday. BHS improved to 6-8-4 and 2-2 in Region 7-6A.
