Prep roundup: Harrison Central, St. Patrick, Bay High all win big Tuesday
The Harrison Central girls out-scored Hancock 31-2 in the fourth quarter for a 71-36 win Tuesday night.
Adyn Strickland scored 21 points to lead the Red Rebelettes. Chyna Allen added 15 and Keyshauna Johnson had 14.
Hancock jumped out to a 12-4 run to start the game and led 15-14 after one quarter.
Harrison Central led 40-34 after three quarters and went on the big run to close out the victory.
Harrison Central improved to 9-6 and 1-0.
Madison Ladner led Hancock with 15 points.
St. Patrick girls 70, Perry Central 42: Morgan McCrea scored a career-high 36 points for the Lady Fighting Irish (11-3, 1-0). St. Patrick travels to Tylertown on Friday.
Bay High girls 91, Moss Point 44: Jamaya Galloway led Bay (10-6, 3-0) with 25 points and 10 assists. Simone Jackson scored 15 points. Amari Pittman and Breanna Fountain each had 14 points and six assists. Dasha Barnes scored 12 points.
West Harrison girls 55, Long Beach 40: Ameshya Williams led WHHS (12-1, 1-0) on Tuesday with 16 points and Vin'Sha Hatcher scored 14. Allanah Turner and Nicole Brock led LBHS with 15 and 14 points respectively.
Gautier 37, Ocean Springs 15: D.J. Johnson led the Gators (6-9) on Tuesday with 14 points. Kelvin Robertson scored 12 points and Michael McWilliams pulled in 12 rebounds.
Picayune girls 61, Stone 57: Maya Whitehead scored 20 and Alana Smith chipped in 11 for Picayune. Beth Owens and Constance Evans led Stone (8-8) with 15 and 14 points respectively. Jaycee Johnson had 11.

Biloxi 3, West Harrison 0: Marcus Kennedy scored twice goals and Niko Mateus scored the third goal for Biloxi (12-3-1). Harrison Horn had two assists and Luke Pagoda had one. Jacob Clark and Evan McMurphy combined for the shutout.
Ocean Springs 4, Oak Grove 0: Kyle Hillyard, Max Higginbotham, Stephen Gallagher and Sam Harvey all scored for the Greyhounds. Travis Harper earned the shutout.
Poplarville girls 3, East Central 0: Gracie Smith, Lexey Breerwood and Mallory Nuccio each scored for Poplarville on Tuesday.
Poplarville 2, East Central 1: Derrick Houston scored both of Poplarville's goals Tuesday.
Ocean Springs girls 4, Oak Grove 1: Kaylee Foster scored twice to lead OSHS (9-4-2) past Oak Grove on Tuesday. Emma Hunt and Kelsay Himel also scored. OSHS hosts Madison Central on Friday.
George County 3, West Jones 0: Harley Johnson scored twice Tuesday to lead GCHS (7-7). Vallory King also scored and Skyler Steede picked up the shutout.
George County 1, West Jones 1: Christian Padilla scored the Rebels' lone goal Tuesday. GCHS improved to 4-7-3 on the year.
