Prep roundup: McCrea leads St. Patrick girls past RCS

St. Patrick girls 43, Resurrection 10: Morgan McCrea led St. Patrick (5-0) with 17 points. St. Patrick returns to the court Friday at Vancleave.

St. Martin girls 54, Hancock 24: Savannah Jones led St. Martin (9-1) with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Daphane White had 12 points and 17 rebounds, while Deona Morgan had 10 points. St. Martin travels to Hattiesburg on Friday.

Harrison Central girls 84, Long Beach 35: Adyn Strickland led HCHS (4-3) with 24 and 7 rebounds. Chyna Allen had 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals. Keyshauna Johnson scored 14 and Yolanda Nelson had 11 points with five assists and four steals. HCHS hosts Oak Grove on Friday.

Pearl River Central girls 48, Poplarville 27: Claire Lumpkin led PRC (6-2) with 15 points and five steals. Kim Guittierrez had 11 points. PRC returns to action Friday against East Central.

Faith Academy (Ala.) 76, Gulfport 54: Quentella Johnson led Gulfport (7-3) against the Mobile, Ala., team with 12 points. Amyjah Hardnett and Madisyn Collier each had seven points. GHS hosts D'Iberville on Friday.

Vancleave girls 47, Our Lady Academy 26: Melanie Demoran and Jessica Woods led VHS (1-4) to victory with 15 and 13 points respectively.

Faith Academy 42, Gulfport 37 (OT): Tyrell McArthur led Gulfport (5-3) with 10 points.


West Harrison girls 7, Bay High 1: Gabby Vincent scored three goals to pace West Harrison (4-1-1) on Tuesday. Haley Kim scored twice, while Sydney Brooke Sims and Hannah Sexton each chipped in goals.

Bay High 5, West Harrison 2: Bo Bowman scored twice for Bay High (3-2). Mark Johnson scored, Ethan Loftin, Carlos Almendarez. Jonathan Page and Tylor Davis scored for WHHS (5-1).

St. Stanislaus 2, St. Patrick 1: Andrew Elkins and Carter St. Mary both scored for SSC (7-1).

Ocean Springs 4, Gulfport 0: Steven Gallagher, Nick Good, Max Wade and Allen Mays each scored for OSHS (3-2-1). Travis Harper picked up the shutout.

Northeast Jones girls 3, George County 2: Vallary King and Maci Thompson scored for GCHS (3-5).

Northeast Jones 2, George County 0: GCHS fell to 0-6-1 with the loss.
