Prep roundup: Gulfport, Pascagoula girls pick up basketball wins

High School Basketball

Forrest County AHS girls 45, PRC 38: Harlee Davis had a team-high 13 points and Claire Lumpkin added 12 as the Blue Devils fell Monday in Brooklyn.

PRC struggled at the free throw line, hitting just 23 of 44 tries. The PRC girls (4-2) will travel to Our Lady Academy in Bay St. Louis at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pascagoula girls 48, Picayune 34: Jailin Cherry led Pascagoula (5-2) with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

UMS-Wright girls 45, Biloxi 32: Ashley Scott provided nine points 10 rebounds to lead UMS-Wright to a win over Biloxi at the Lady Admiral Thanksgiving Tournament. Alexis McDaniel had 14 for Biloxi.

Murrah girls 49, St. Martin 46: Savanna Jones had 19 points and Deona Morgan had 11 points in St. Martin's first loss of the season. The Yellow Jackets are 6-0.

Gulfport girls 57, Madison Central 46: Alexis Marsh scored 11 and Aarmanii McDaniel had seven points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Admirals (5-2). Mimi Bishop scored 12 for Madison Central.

High School Soccer

Hancock girls 6, Pascagoula 0: Caroline Grafe and Alyssa Palisi each recorded a hat trick Monday as Hancock (7-0) blanked Pascagoula. Goalkeeper Taylor Lee made three saves for the shutout.

Gulfport girls 1, Ocean Springs 1: Britton Simpson provided the lone goal for Gulport (4-1-3) and Mary Reiger scored for Ocean Springs (4-2-1
