Prep roundup: McCrea leads St. Patrick girls to win; SSC blanks RCS
St. Patrick girls 53, Our Lady Academy 23: St. Patrick's girls (4-0) continued their hot start to the season Thursday night with a convincing win over OLA. Morgan McCrea led the fighting Irish with 19 points. St. Patrick returns to the court Dec. 3 at Resurrection.
Picayune girls 51, Pass Christian 38: Maya Whitehead led Picayune with 18 points. Netanya Wilkerson had 14 for Pass Christian (3-3). PCHS hosts Ocean Springs on Friday.
Harrison Central girls 99, Moss Point 40: Adyn Strickland had a 25-point night. Keyshauna Johnson scored 22 points and had a team-high nine steals. Deasia McInnis, Arie Norwood and Chyna Allen scored 14, 13 and 10 points respectively. LaMiracle Sims scored 15 for Moss Point's girls (1-5). HCHS hosts Bay High on Tuesday.
Pearl River Central girls 58, Vancleave 34: Claire Lumpkin had a double-double for PRC (4-1) with 23 points and 10 assists. Kim Gutierrez has 12.
Gautier 42, George County 39: Mike McWilliams had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Gautier (2-2).
Harrison Central 93, Moss Point 60: Rajun Blackston and Biscuit Floyd led HCHS (2-2) with 24 points apiece. Isaiah Steele and Dajon Whitworth scored 13 and 12 respectively. LaBarrius Williams scored 14 and Marcus Brown chipped in 10 for Moss Point (1-3).
Pass Christian 66, Picayune 61: Jaylen Peters led PCHS (4-2) with 24 points. Aaron Whavers and Aydarius Young scored 16 and 11 points respectively.
Soccer
St. Stanislaus 3, Resurrection 0: Austin Miller, West Zimmerman and Will Lawhead each scored for SSC (6-0). Chris Luffey made one save to earn the win. SSC will host Sacred Heart on Monday.
