Prep roundup: Savannah Jones' 26 points lifts St. Martin past Gautier
Savannah Jones scored 26 points to lift St. Martin's girls (2-0) past Gautier 40-32 on Tuesday night. Alexis Holloway led Gautier with 25 points.
St. Martin returns to the court Thursday against Harrison Central.
West Harrison girls 60, Hancock 46: Ameshya Williams scored 30 points and Dwaynaa Kennedy scored 19 to lift West Harrison to 2-0 on the season. The Lady Hurricanes host Forrest County AHS on Thursday.
Stone girls 54, Perry Central 17: Stone (1-1) dominated PCHS on Thursday. Constance Evans scored 13 and Marly Fairly chipped in 10 for Stone (1-1). Stone travels to D'Iberville on Thursday.
Pearl River Central girls 42, D'Iberville 41 (OT): Claie Lumpkin scored 10 points and tallied four assists to lead PRC (1-1). Harlee Davis led PRC with 13 points. Casey Ferguson, Laniya Cronan and Jacora Blackston led D'Iberville with 10, 12 and nine points respectively. PRC hosts Lumberton on Thursday.
Vancleave boys 53, St. Patrick 39: Jack Magandy led St. Patrick (0-1) with 14 points while Tucker Santiago chipped in 12. The Fighting Irish travel to East Central on Thursday.
Hattiesburg 58, Harrison Central 43: Arieanna Norwood and Adyn Strickland led HCHS (0-2) with 12 and 11 points respectively. The Red Rebelettes visit St. Martin on Thursday.
St. Patrick girls 57, Vancleave 33: Morgan McCrea scored 21 and Olivia Allen added 12 for the Lady Fighting Irish (1-0).
St. Martin boys 60, Gautier 43: Stacee St. Julian scored 38 with 15 rebounds and five steals to lead the Yellow Jackets (2-0). St. Martin hosts Harrison Central on Thursday.
D'Iberville boys 47, Pearl River 11: Adarius Crosby led D'Iberville (2-0) with 10 points. The Warriors host Stone on Thursday.

Gulfport girls 4, George County 3: Anna Smith, Harley Johnson and Avery Davis each scored for GCHS on Thursday. Alexis Arnoult had two goals for Gulfport (1-1), Maureen Maher also scored. GCHS also scored an own goal in the game. The Lady Rebels (1-1) host East Central on Friday. GHS plays South Jones on Thursday.
Gulfport boys 4, Resurrection 1: Jeff Bruni scored a hat trick and Ashton LeBlanc chipped in a goal of his own. Carter Allen earned the win for Gulfport (3-1).
