Sun Herald Offensive player of the week: Long Beach WR Trevor Terry
Long Beach wide receiver Trevor Terry played a big role in the Bearcats' 36-34 upset victory over Region 4-5A leader Picayune on Friday night.
The senior had 10 catches for 267 yards, three touchdowns, a pair of two-point conversions. His first two-point conversion reception tied the game at 28-28 with 1:01 left and forced overtime.
Terry caught the game-winning 10-yard TD reception in overtime. He also had TD receptions of 51 and 69 yards from quarterback Mitch McCaleb, who threw for 445 yards and five scores.
At cornerback, Terry had six total tackles and a fumble recovery.
