A pair of big defensive plays in the third quarter helped Pass Christian break open a tight contest at Vancleave Friday night, winning 43-14.
Senior Justin Dixon came up with an interception and Aydarius Young had a 40-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown to help break open a game that Pass Christian led 14-7 at the half. After three quarters, Pass Christian led 35-14.
Tyriq Turner had six carries for 58 yards and three touchdowns for Pass Christian (5-4, 2-2). V.J. Swanier added 20 carries for 77 yards and also had a 7-yard reception for a score.
Stone 34, West Harrison 26: Terrion Avery rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown as the Tomcats (3-6, 1-4) won their first Region 4-5A game. Tavarus Breland ran for 85 yards and one TD. R'Tarriun Johnson added 76 yards rushing and one TD for the Tomcats. Jakalyn Green also had a 20 yard TD run. Nick Brown caught a four-yard TD pass from Ashton Hickman.

Collins 52, St. Patrick 0: For the third straight game, St. Patrick (0-10, 0-4 8-3A) struggled to piece together much of an offensive effort and were shutout. Collins (9-1, 4-0), the reigning 3A champs, never trailed in the contest.
Christian Collegiate Academy 47, Rebul Academy 6: Devan Roberts went 11-for-11 for 200 yards and five touchdowns as the Bulldogs (9-0) remained unbeaten. Micah Williams had a 19-yard TD reception, Parker Peterman added a 17-yard scoring reception. T.J. Clolinger had a 55 yard TD reception and also rushed for a score. Sam Jackson had a 29-yard TD reception. Lorenzo Neville added a 10-yard TD reception and on a 25 yard interception return.
