A new Coast team has popped up in the latest Associated Press prep poll.
Riding a seven-game winning streak and coming off of a convincing 49-17 win at George County, Ocean Springs cracked the state-wide Top 10 at No. 10.
St. Martin finished just outside the Top 10 with 10 points. Gulfport (3) and Resurrection (1) also received consideration for the state-wide poll.
In Class 6A, Ocean Springs finished sixth with 21 points, 23 points behind Brandon. St. Martin (13) and Gulfport (6) also received points.

Three Coast teams received consideration in Class 5A. Pascagoula, fresh off of a 21-18 win over Hattiesburg, cracked the Top 5 at No. 5 with 32 points. Pearl River Central (26) and Picayune (12) also received consideration.
St. Stanislaus was the lone Coast team to receive consideration in Class 4A. The Rockachaws received 25 points, 37 points behind fifth-place Lawrence County.
Resurrection remained at the top of 1A for a seventh consecutive week. The Eagles received 12 out of 13 first-place votes, with Simmons collecting the other top vote.
