Resurrection Catholic School is the lone Coast team ranked in the latest Associated Press prep football poll.
The Eagles, coming off of consecutive bye weeks, remains atop the Class 1A ranking with11 out of 15 first-place votes and 146 total points.
In the state-wide Top 10 ranking, Ocean Springs is the top Coast team with seven points, good enough for 12th. St. Martin (6), Gulfport (3), Pearl River Central (2) and RCS (1) round out the South Mississippi squads.
St. Martin slipped to just outside the Class 6A Top 5 with 10 points, 34 behind fifth-place Clinton. Ocean Springs (7) and Gulfport (6) each received votes.
Pearl River Central received 23 points in the Class 5A Top 5, but finished seventh, 47 points behind fifth-place West Point.
St. Stanislaus is the only other Coast team to pick up recognition. The Rockachaws received 14 points, good enough for ninth in Class 4A. Noxubee County had 33 points to finish fifth.
Harrison Central def. Vancleave 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-16, 25-21): Natasha Feyjoo led Harrison Central (17-14) on Tuesday with 19 service points and 16 kills. Zimar Feyjoo had 18 service points and 34 assists. Deja Pegues had 10 points and 10 kills. Alondra Rodrigues had 16 points and 14 digs. Kailey Morton had 11 points and 10 digs. HCHS will play West Harrison next Tuesday and will open the playoffs Oct. 20 at Oak Grove.
Biloxi def. D'Iberville 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23): Quiava Lampley and Semaya Ali each had nine kills for BHS. The Lady Indians host West Harrison at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for senior night.
Long Beach def. Gulfport 3-1 (25-23, 17-25, 25-19, 25-22): Payton Tillman had 18 assists, Lizzie Anderson had 23 digs and Krystal Goodman led LBHS (14-4) with eight kills and six blocks. LBHS hosts Vancleave on Thursday.
D'Iberville def. Pass Christian 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 23-25, 16-14): D'Iberville (8-7, 4-2) topped Pass Christian on Monday. Sydney Metz led the Lady Warriors with 18 digs. Kelcie Wilding had nine kills and five blocks.
Resurrection def. Christian Collegiate Academy 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-16): Jada Williams led RCS (23-4-1) with 17 kills and three blocks. Shannon Unger had 22 assists.
