Who was the MS Coast’s best high school softball player in 2026 season? Vote now

South Mississippi enjoyed another strong season, producing two South State champions in Ocean Springs and George County.

Now it’s time to determine the best of the best with the Sun Herald’s Fan’s Choice Player of the Year poll. The winner will be honored alongside the Player of the Year in the All-South Mississippi Softball team.

You can vote as many times as you like until the poll closes at noon on Sunday, May 24. The poll is not scientific, and you can vote again by simply refreshing the page.

Londyn Ford, D’Iberville: The Warriors’ sophomore ace had a 2.23 ERA and struck out 167 batters in 147.2 innings.

Abby Danis, East Central: Danis starred from the circle with a 1.54 ERA and 124 strikeouts. She also had 38 hits and drove in 34 runs.

Addison Davis, George County: Davis put together a 1.33 ERA with 196 strikeouts heading into the state finals. The senior also batted .432 with 13 runs driven in.

Paige Moore, Gulfport: Moore scored 45 runs on 39 hits. She recorded 18 extra base hits and drove in 32 runs.

Kenleigh McIver, Hancock: McIver paced the Lady Hawks with 42 hits. The senior hit 12 doubles and picked up 23 RBIs.

Emma Franklin, Ocean Springs: The Greyhound ace recorded over 200 strikeouts from the circle while batting over .300 with 20 RBIs.

Bristol Jones, Pass Christian: The sophomore enjoyed an historic season in which she struck out over 300 batters and worked a 0.87 ERA. She contributed at the plate with 42 hits and 35 RBIs.

Addison Davis, Pearl River Central: Davis obliterated the school’s single-season home run record as a sophomore with 18. She batted .556 with 72 RBIs.

Peyton Parks, St. Patrick: The freshman two-way standout had 33 hits and 23 runs at the plate and a 3.55 ERA with 84 strikeouts in the circle.

Sophia Wilson, Vancleave: Wilson tossed 100.2 innings of 1.81 ERA softball with 97 batters cut down.
