Girls high school basketball in South Mississippi produced another strong group of highly talented athletes. Here’s your chance to vote for the best of the bunch.
Candidates for the Fan Vote Player of the Year come from Biloxi, Harrison Central, St. Martin, Hancock, Long Beach, Moss Point, St. Patrick, Ocean Springs and Poplarville.
The Fan Vote winner of the poll will be recognized along with the rest of the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team when it is published.

Nominees
Zaniya Johnson, Biloxi: The five-star Class of 2027 prospect averaged 14.4 points per game with 7.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.
Saniyah Murray, Harrison Central: A four-star junior prospect, Murray averaged a double-double with 16.5 points and a career-best 10.5 rebounds per game.
Trinity Magee, Moss Point: Magee had a standout freshman season where she poured in 12.8 points and hauled in 4.3 rebounds a game.
Starr Jackson, Ocean Springs: Jackson scored 15.1 points per game as a senior with 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 steals.
Taylor Henley, Our Lady Academy: Henley guided the Crescents to the school’s first title game appearance with a dominant stat line that saw her score 20.5 points a game with 16.1 rebounds to boot.
Laikyn Moore, Picayune: Moore’s junior campaign was her best yet. She averaged 15.8 points per game along with 8.8 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Alex Patino, St. Patrick: Patino led the Lady Irish as a junior with 20 points scored per game.
Sydnei Barber, West Harrison: Barber scored 14 points per game with six rebounds. She’s signed to play at Pearl River C.C.
